Jack & Jill Sweeps Razzies Awards For Worst In Film
“Ben Hur”. “The Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King”. “Jack And Jill”. What do these films have in common? Well, the first two swept the Oscars, winning in pretty much every category they were nominated. The Adam Sandler “comedy” is like that, just on the other end of the quality spectrum. Today, the winners of the annual Razzies Awards were announced. And “Jack And Jill” stood out as the undisputed champion of crap. Anyone with the slightest modicum of taste who’s ever had the misfortune of watching that wretched movie (ie: me) will offer no argument. Well. Maybe just a stifled sob or two.
The official statement goes: “Every year, the Golden Raspberry Awards, better known simply as The Razzies, set out to (dis)honor the very worst in cinema. And this year, one film rose above all others: Adam Sandler’s cross-dressing comedy Jack & Jill swept every single category.”
