As (negative) word builds on the 3rd — and possibly final — instalment of the “Men In Black” franchise, there seems to be less and less incentive to watch the movie. There are however, two reasons that make me wanna watch it. One is Josh Brolin as the younger version of Tommy Lee Jones. That in itself looks like a lot of fun. Then the other reason is a man named Rick Baker. He is the special make-up effects guru who pioneered a lot of the industry’s most amazing creature designs. And Baker was hired to create the weird, wacky aliens that populate the 1960s, in which a bulk of MIB3 takes place. The studio rightly saw fit to pay tribute to Baker in a video featurette, where he discusses his work processes and inspirations. The creatures will probably be the most delightful part of the movie. Check this out…

Here’s the official synopsis: “Agents J (Will Smith) and K (Tommy Lee Jones) are back… in time. J has seen some inexplicable things in his 15 years with the Men in Black, but nothing, not even aliens, perplexes him as much as his wry, reticent partner. But when K’s life and the fate of the planet are put at stake, Agent J will have to travel back in time to put things right. J discovers that there are secrets to the universe that K never told him — secrets that will reveal themselves as he teams up with the young Agent K (Josh Brolin) to save his partner, the agency, and the future of humankind.”

“Men In Black 3″ also stars Will Smith, Jemaine Clement, Emma Thompson, Nicole Scherzinger, Alice Eve, and Michael Stuhlbarg. It opens nationwide today.
