First Look! Naomi Watts As Princess Diana
Diana Spencer, former Princess Of Wales, died on 31st August 1997 in a tragic car crash. She was a much beloved yet highly controversial public figure, and her death came as quite a shock to the world. Surprisingly, it’s taken 15 years for a big screen feature film to be made about her. Late last year, it was announced that Aussie actress Naomi Watts (“King Kong”) had won the role of Princess Di, in a film called “Caught In Flight”. The biopic is directed by German Oliver Hirschbiegel (“Downfall”) from a script by Stephen Jeffreys. Production is currently in full swing, and Comingsoon.net was on set in Croatia where the movie is filming, and managed to catch Watts in full make-up and costume. She bears only a passing resemblance to the actual person, so this’ll be very much left to her performance.
Here’s a brief description of the film: “The film is a compelling portrait of Diana, Princess of Wales during the last two years of her life. It charts how finding true personal happiness for the first time allowed her to achieve her defining successes evolving into a major international campaigner and humanitarian.”
“Caught In Flight” still has no official release date yet.

Is it just me, or does Naomi Watts look more like Camilla in some of the pix?

Pacman: That’s MEAN! You’re saying the lovely and talented Ms. Watts looks like old Horseface? Yikes.

Pacman: Then again Camilla wasn’t so bad in her youth. Just didn’t age gracefully…
