First Look! Supernatural Actioner R.I.P.D. Set Pics

Ryan Reynolds must still be smarting from the colossal failure of “Green Lantern”. A misfire like that is never easy to live down. Personally, I found that he was the best thing about the DC Comics superhero flick. Maybe Reynolds will have better luck with another comic book adaptation. “R.I.P.D.” is based on the Dark Horse Comics title of the same name, and features a fascinating premise. The movie’s description goes like this: “Based on the comic by Peter M. Lenkov, a recently slain cop joins a team of undead police officers working for the Rest in Peace Department and tries to find the man who murdered him.” Reynolds will be playing the cop, Nick Walker. He is joined by Jeff Bridges as an old gunslinger called Bo, and Kevin Bacon as the main villain.

Recently, the stars were spotted at an outdoor location shoot in New Orleans. Directed by Robert Schwentke, the supernatural actioner, dubbed a cross between “Ghostbusters” and “Men In Black”, is still a long way from completion. The scene captured below by Celebuzz is said to be from early in the story. Reynolds is looking pretty good for a dead guy. And he’s got one sweet ride, with that brand new Dodge Challenger…
