Columbia Pictures: now this is more like it. After the lame “The Amazing Spider-Man” poster that debuted earlier this week, the studio’s marketing department has finally put in some thought and effort into its promotional material. This 2nd one-sheet poster for “Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance looks and means business. In fact, it’s pretty badass, I must say. I’m liking the very dramatic angle they chose to portray the Rider. He has a genuine air of menace. There’s some great detailing of Hellfire damage on the bike. And the flame effects are cool too. That’ll do, pig.

Oh and here’s the official synopsis: “In the successor to the worldwide hit Ghost Rider, Johnny – still struggling with his curse as the devil’s bounty hunter – is hiding out in a remote part of Eastern Europe when he is recruited by a secret sect of the church to save a young boy (Fergus Riordan) from the devil (Hinds). At first, Johnny is reluctant to embrace the power of the Ghost Rider, but it is the only way to protect the boy – and possibly rid himself of his curse forever.”

“Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance” is directed by Neveldine & Taylor, and stars Nicolas Cage, Fergus Riordan, Ciaran Hinds, Violante Placido, Idris Elba and Johnny Whitworth. The Marvel superhero sequel premieres 17th February 2012.
