Wow. Now I’m officially impressed. I’ve always had a good feeling about the sequel to Cap’s first solo outing. The directors hired for the job, Joe and Anthony Russo (TV’s “Community”) may not at first glance appear to have what it takes to helm a mega-project like this. But everything they’ve done from the onset, from casting to production design has been pretty spot-on. And while the teaser trailer released a few months back was good, this full one reveals just how epic the scope of the story and the action promises to be. It’s still too early to tell if it will be a winner for sure, but this is definitely a good indicator. I’m sold.
Here’s the official synopsis: ““Captain America: The Winter Soldier” will pick-up where “Marvel’s The Avengers” left off, as Steve Rogers struggles to embrace his role in the modern world and teams up with Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow, to battle a powerful yet shadowy enemy in present-day Washington, D.C.”
“Captain America: The Winter Soldier” stars Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson, Robert Redford, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Cobie Smulders, Frank Grillo, Georges St-Pierre, Hayley Atwell, Toby Jones, Emily VanCamp, and Maximiliano Hernández. It premieres 4th April.
