Director James Gunn is hard at work on “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” and so far, we know very little about the plot. Some footage was shown at last month’s SDCC, but that stuff was pretty vague too. We do know that it’ll feature Kurt Russell(!) as Starlord’s dad, and a possible cameo by Sylvester Stallone in an unknown role. That’s right, an unofficial “Tango & Cash” reunions, folks! Rejoice!
Empire magazine, ever the reliable scooper, scored a juicy piece of concept art from Gunn. It shows a rather 80s-looking giant space creature taking on our motley crew of heroes. Mind you, this might not even make it into the final cut, but it’s a cool glimpse of where the filmmakers’ heads are at. Plus, we get a new look at Baby Groot. Ain’t he adorable? More importantly, is he fleeing the battle?
