One of the best things about “The Dark Knight Rises” is the music. Hans Zimmer continues to prove he’s one of the best composers working today, and turns out he’s got a big heart as well. Following the tragic shooting incident in America 2 weeks ago, Zimmer has written and recorded a new song entitled “Aurora”, after the affected town. The single is dedicated to the victims, families and friends of the tragedy, and sales will go to charity. It is a beautiful, haunting piece of music, and tonally consistent with Christopher Nolan’s film. Check out the embed below.

Yesterday, Zimmer posted this message on his Facebook page: “”Aurora” is dedicated to those who lost their lives and were affected by the tragedy in Aurora, Colorado. I recorded this song in London in the days following the tragedy as a heartfelt tribute to the victims and their families. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to Aurora Victim Relief organization.
