Yeah, I’m thinking he’s back. The hitman other hitmen fear has returned in “John Wick: Chapter 2”, and this time his dog lives!

The first movie took everyone by surprise, but for the sequel the anticipation is pretty high for the Keanu Reeves actioner. Chad Stahleski is going it solo without his co-director from the first one, but it looks like the action is just as crisp and sharply executed as ever. Wick sure loves his headshots, alright.

But what I find most appealing is the exploration of the fascinating world of the hitmen. I don’t know how practical an analogue operation like the “Accounts Payable” department is in this day and age, but who cares? It’s cool as hell. Then there’s the gorgeous Rome locations, which gives this an even more timeless feel. Am pumped for this.

Here’s the official synopsis: “Keanu Reeves returns in the sequel to the 2014 hit as legendary hitman John Wick who is forced to back out of retirement by a former associate plotting to seize control of a shadowy international assassins’ guild. Bound by a blood oath to help him, John travels to Rome where he squares off against some of the world’s deadliest killers.”

“John Wick: Chapter 2” also stars John Leguizamo, Lance Reddick, Bridget Moynahan, Ian McShane, Laurence Fishburne, Ruby Rose, Common, Peter Stormare, and Riccardo Scamarcio. It premieres 10th February 2017.
