This year is set to be jam-packed with superhero movies. One of the more hotly-anticipated is Marvel’s “Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2”. We’ve seen trailers, but we don’t know much about the sequel or what our band of rogues are up to.
Today, TheWrap managed to sit down with Brit actress Karen Gillan, who plays villainess Nebula. We do know that she’s supposed to join the team this round, if not as a good guy then at least a temporary ally. Gillan revealed a bit about her character’s motivations and issues, and what we can expect to see in the movie…
“What I love about the second movie for Nebula in particular is that we get — We know that she’s a pretty angry woman with some daddy issues. [But] in the second movie, we’re going to start to see how much pain her father actually caused her, and we’re going to delve right into the relationship with her sister Gamora. I think we might even feel a tinge of sympathy towards Nebula this time, because we really start to see the emotional crack in her character. I was just allowed to completely explore that and take it to a completely different dimension with her. I was really happy about that.”
“Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol.2” is directed by James Gunn, and stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Kurt Russell, Pom Klementieff, and Michael Rooker. It premieres 5th May.
