With “Deadpool” crushing it at the Box Office (over US$400 million worldwide and counting), the rest of the Marvel properties have their work cut out for them. Not to be outdone, “Captain America: Civil War” promises a massive dust-up between the biggest heroes in the MCU. And we’ve got some cool new images to prove it. The first two are from Empire magazine’s latest issue, while the rest are official stills and concept art (love that one in particular). Early word from industry insiders is that this is a pretty damn good film. Bring it!

Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War” finds Steve Rogers leading the newly formed team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. But after another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps—one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark’s surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability.”

“Captain America: Civil War” is directed by Joe & Anthony Russo, and stars Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Emily VanCamp, Don Cheadle, Jeremy Renner, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Frank Grillo, William Hurt, Daniel Brühl. It premieres 6th May.
