The follow-up to “Batman v Superman” is still a year away, but Warner Bros is eager to get the buzz for “Justice League” chugging along and building steadily. To that end, they’ve released sizzle reels at SDCC, loads of behind the scenes images, and some official stills too. Like this latest one that debuted in Entertainment Weekly today.
It features half the team, with The Flash, Batman and Wonder Woman striking a pose while looking at something important above them. This gives us a better glimpse of the suits, with The Flash’s looking slightly different from what we were shown previously. His helmet and midriff certainly appear to have received some tweaks. Which is nicer in my book. Batman’s suit on the other hand now looks a tad too busy, with all those weird plates on his abs and arms. The BvS suit was pretty much perfect, and you know what they say about something being ain’t broke. As for Wonder Woman, she looks awesome as ever.
EW also got some choice quotes from The Flash himself, Ezra Miller, who gave a rather tongue-in-cheek view of the team dynamic: “Flash is Ringo Starr, he annoys everybody, but he doesn’t have any specific beef with anyone…Uncle Fish Curry (Aquaman])is very grumpy. Dad (Batman) gets grumpy too. Wonder Woman is very considerate, so even though she’s annoyed with the Flash, she’s still very compassionate.”
Here’s the official synopsis: “Fueled by the hero’s restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Justice League sees Bruce Wayne enlist the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot will be reprising their roles as the DC Trinity, Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman in Warner Bros.‘ Justice League, and joining them are Jason Mamoa as Aquaman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, and Ezra Miller as The Flash. J.K. Simmons will also appear as Commissioner Gordon with former Game of Thrones star Ciarán Hinds set to play the villain, Steppenwolf.”
“Justice League” is directed by Zack Snyder (Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice). It premieres 10th November 2017.
