Hard to believe, but “Star Wars” is 40 years old this year. So Star Wars Celebration that just kicked off at Orlando right now is extra meaningful. Lucasfilm held a “40 Years of Star Wars” panel last night, and among the many highlights (like live appearances by most of the cast and key figures like George Lucas and Kathleen Kennedy), the one that stood out was a loving video tribute to the late Carrie Fisher.

Fisher’s daughter Billie Lourd took to the stage to introduce the clip, as well as provide some light-hearted, poignant anecdotes about the woman who was/is Princess Leia. It’s a moving piece, and I dare any fan to watch this without getting all misty-eyed.

Star Wars Celebration Orlando is taking place at the Orange County Convention Center and includes appearances by Felicity Jones (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story), Ian McDiarmid (Emperor Palpatine), Jeremy Bulloch (Boba Fett), plus Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy, Star Wars: The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson, Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Billy Dee Williams, Hayden Christensen, Peter Mayhew, Ian McDiarmid, Anthony Daniels and Dave Filoni.
