We’s still over a year out from the release of “Star Wars: Episode VIII”, but filming has officially come to an end. Now that doesn’t mean work ends here. Oh no, with such an effects-driven film, there’s still tonnes of post-production to get through. Actually, there will also be more shoots to be done in the form of additional pick-up shots, as is the case with almost all blockbuster movies nowadays.
But as far as principal photography is concerned, it’s a wrap. And two of the sequel’s stars took to Instagram today to announce that. First, Mark Hamill aka Luke Skywalker posted a shot of the wrap party that took place over the weekend. Then, Daisy Ridley aka Rey aka Luke’s new apprentice, posted a pic of her with her new weapon of choice. Sweeeet.
Star Wars Celebration is happening this weekend in Europe, so expect much bigger reveals for both “Episode VIII” and “Rogue One”, but this is a great start to whet our appetites.
