Over the weekend, MTV held its annual Movie & TV Awards. Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Entertainment seized on the captive audience to unveil a brand new trailer for “Wonder Woman”. It’s the most action-packed look at the movie yet, with tonnes of new footage showing off Diana of Themyscira’s combat prowess. It’s also the first trailer to not use the now-recognisable music theme (composed by Hans Zimmer & Junkie XL). Plus, some more humour to prove that DC movies aren’t totally grim dark affairs. What do you think of the latest trailer?
Here’s the official synopsis: “Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers… and her true destiny.”
“Wonder Woman” stars Gal Gadot (Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice), Chris Pine (Star Trek), Robin Wright (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Netflix‘s House of Cards), Danny Huston (Clash of the Titans, X-Men Origins: Wolverine), Ewen Bremner (Exodus: Gods and Kings, Snowpiercer), Saïd Taghmaoui (American Hustle), Elena Anaya (The Skin I Live In), Connie Nielsen (Gladiator, Nymphomaniac: Vol. I) and Lucy Davis (Shaun of the Dead). It premieres 1st June.
